Officer Kenneth “KJ” Kizilski has been a member of the Southington Police Department since December 15, 2010 and is currently assigned to Support Services as the Training Officer. Officer Kizilski is also a member of our ATV Unit and is a certified Field Training Officer.
- Responsible for the management and documentation of all departmental required training.
- Manage the POST re-certification process for all sworn employees.
- Oversee POST instructor certification for all department certified trainers.
- Manages Field Training Program.
- Schedule all department training.
- Maintain all employee departmental training records.
- Provide oversight and record retention for the Medication Drop Box Program.
- Manage and participate in the development and implementation of department goals and objectives, as they related to the overall training function of the police department.
- Backup Public Information Officer for the department.
- Provide informational press releases to the all media outlets.
